I am sure that most of you who read the title imagined I was talking about the MIddle East war.
But No. I am talking about home here in Cape Town.
For the last week we have had the heat wave from Hell! I have lived here most of my life but have NEVER experienced this. The temperatures were between 37 nd 42 C day and night maybe dropping to 30. That is higher then the average midsummer day, and it is now Autumn.
Also we do get the occasional 40C day but not for a week non stop. The local joke was something along the lines that God left the heater on! Particularly since the week before was moving into Fall with cooler weather and rain.
I cannot tell you what shock that has been to my body. Headaches, nausea, exhaustion and unable to sleep at night because I was lying in a pool of my own sweat.
And so I apologise to anyone that I owe work to, I was just not able to work although I did my best.
I inevitably thought about climate change and global warming.
And what we are doing to the Planet and how the Planet is responding. And she is. She is a conscious living being!
We need to cool down everything and slow down and be more loving and compassionate to each other and to the Earth.
We are burning up. Literally.
We need to invoke and call on the Divine Sophia and the Divine Feminine to teach us how to LOVE again and how to be gentle and pure and how to flow like water.
Putting out the Fires that burn us and moving into the creation of cool and nurturing spaces.
Both literally and spiritually.
